Lovin' Life!

He is getting so big!
My happy girl

He really loves to swing.

How can you not be happy and active in weather like this? What a February treat! The kids truly think winter is over and we are on the brink of summer vacation. I keep reminding them of one more month of winter, but no one is listening. We are just loving every minute outdoors, especially my little rug-rat. I will ask forgiveness now. He is destined to always be grubby and dirty. He loves being outside and is into as much mischief there as inside. He falls down all the time, is hopelessly attracted to mud and plants. He is a true boy, inside and out! So fun! Of course Carson is loving this nice weather, but school keeps him from hanging with us all day.

Well...playing with my little mute is a challenge. He might not say a lot, but he definitely has his own ideas about how we should play. He does get his point across though. Pretend play might not be his thing. He might want to stick with individual sports, like wrestling. :) I will keep after him. I am determined he will have a nice vocabulary sometime before 5.

The Pampered Chef

The night ended with an exhausted fit.
It is my party and I'll cry if I want to!
She LOVES babies! And I bought her one that cries and sounds like a real newborn.
What was I thinking? It stops me in my tracks when it makes noise. I love babies too!
Mmmm...that was a good cupcake I made!
The 12 Happy Chefs
I can never remember how these pictures go in. Start from bottom and scroll up. It was a great 5th birthday for Maisy, I think. We had our first basketball game. It was a coaching nightmare. We lost, but had a good time. Then we rushed home for the party. She had all her friends over, cooked great treats, and got to open presents. It was a good day and I was exhausted!

I realized through this party that you plan and prepare all this great stuff, but when the day comes you are so busy doing "stuff" that you don't get to really enjoy your 5 year old. I hope she knows that all that hard work is an expression of love. I wouldn't do it otherwise. I will be cleaning up cheese, sprinkles, and stickers for years. All out of love...all out of love!
