It is not the beach I love, but the break from our stressful reality. The sun and sand are beautiful, and make me warm inside and out. The lazy days to play with my kids and watch them experiencing new things makes me truly happy. Those memories made will last a lifetime.
Waiting in line with Carson and Maisy to zipline was one of the most anxious waits ever. I feared the heights. I feared them being that high. I feared we would fall down the stairs on the way up. I was just scared to death, but I pulled it together for them. Sweating and screaming I took the step off the platform to join them on the other side. They loved it! I don't want to do it again. Knox was so funny on the trip interacting with the ocean for the first time. He did not like the waves, but loved the sand. The jellyfish and Man O War really scared him. He started talking so well while we were gone too. One night as we were preparing to go "crab hunting" he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, "Momma, crabs bite my toes off?" Carson was a super big kid and went deep sea fishing with the guys. He was so proud. He caught 10 fish. Didn't eat them that night, but loved his time with his Dad.
Surprisingly the kids were truly well behaved. They were super travelers. Knox was awesome in every way. He is such a fun little guy. He kept up with the big kids, but stuck close to Jeremy and after his initial near drowning in the pool. Within 5 minutes of our arrival, I jumped in fully clothed to pull him out. He didn't go in again without his floatie.
Maisy stated on the way home that she looks prettier with a tan. Uh-oh...doesn't that sound familiar. I just keep rubbing on the SPF 50.
