I love my life!
This time of year always makes me sentimental, and I always like to make note of the things I love. This is my most current list.
I love snow. The quietness of it and the hope of a day off work.
I love cereal. Captain Crunch is my favorite.
I love notebooks and lists. It is the only way I stay even slightly organized.
I love sleeping with my husband. It has been months since it has just been two of us in bed, and I miss that.
I love sleeping with my baby. Missing time with him during the work week, it is nice to cuddle with him all night. I am sacrificing one toothless man for another.
I love reading good-night stories to Carson and Maisy. We snuggle up together in bed, and usually stay that way until Jeremy wakes me up.
I love spending time with one kid at a time. Individually they are both delightful. Carson is such a conversationalist and so wise for his age. I love to talk to him. Maisy has such a unique and creative perspective. She is really smart too, just very different. She sees things so differently, but with an explanation is very clever. She might be an artist when she grows up.
I love the rare mispronunciations. As the kids get older, their speech is so accurate. But, I love the occasional mispronunciation. The latest was Maisy calling a Rice Krispy bar a Crusty bar.
I love the look in Carson's eye when he mentions that "special girl" in his class. He always looks at me, just waiting for me to say something. It is a predictable conversation when her name is spoken.
I love when Jeremy gets home from work...finally some back-up. Not much, but I'll take what I can get.
I love how Knox quits crying when he hears my voice.
I love taking care of my kids when they are sick, which I have done a lot of lately. It gives me an excuse to spoil just one of them.
I love when family comes to visit. It is so fun having them near, if only for a few days.
I love my baby's smell and noises. I think he is one of the 3 cutest babies ever.
I love giving him a bath. He loves the water and kicks like crazy!
I love his fat little thighs!
I love chocolate covered raisins and hot wings.
I love Sponge Bob and ICarly.
I love being a minivan driving, mother of three. It is crazy, but everything I have ever wanted!
I love my husband for working so hard for us, even though he is miserable. He is a good man.
I love who and where I came from.

Enjoying the Snow Day
It was so nice to be home today. We all needed some time together. Jeremy is sick. Carson is battling another stomach treatment. Maisy loves her momma. Knoxy needs his momma. And, I needed time with my kids. We loved having time together. We went sledding, while Knox and Jeremy slept. We danced. We made homemade hot cocoa. We read books and slept. Today was the perfect snow day! I can work tomorrow.

Four Going on Fourteen
She started her 3rd year in STL, in a new place, new home, and with new friends. She found out she was going to be a big sister, and then that it was a boy, which didn't make her happy at the time. She started preschool full time for the first time in her short life, that didn't make her happy right away either. Then her brother was born, whom she has adored since day one. We moved again. Just when she really started to like preschool, she had to quit to stay home with Knox and I and various family that helped out until the first of the year. Now she is home full time with a nanny. Those are a lot of adjustments. Most kids would be wetting their pants and throwing fits again, but not our girl, she gets up each day with a smile on her face, just waiting to see what the world has in store for her...or better yet, what she has in store for the world.
Some things I want to remember about Maisy being three are how she loves nothing more than for someone to sleep with her. She has the same routine every night. She tells me, "Good night. Love you, Mom. See you in the morning." By the time she gets to morning she is usually about to cry. You can hear it in her voice, but she never does. Then we kiss good night and hug. Then we do the whole routine at least two more times, sometimes more, before she lets me leave. I also want to remember her tiny little hands and fat little feet. I love them. I think they are the sweetest hands and feet ever. I can't imagine them fitting in heels, but they are cute now. I also want to remember how much she loves play-doh. She also started to enjoy coloring and her drawings are always so funny, usually upside down. Learning to ride her bike without training wheels was huge this year. She taught herself! The tires on her little bike were bald by winter, so she got a new one for her birthday. She loves both her brothers so much. She can fight with Carson like nothing I have ever seen, but tries to do everything he does. She mothers Knox like a little hen, but pushes the limits with what she should and shouldn't do with him. She has the biggest sweet tooth of any kid ever! She will sneak any treat she can find.
She is one in a million, my daughter. I can't wait to meet the woman growing inside her. Watch out world! She will be a force to be reckoned with!
