Sis the Slugger!

I love coaching Maisy's sports! The only problem is that I don't get all the good pictures and footage when I am out there with her. Baseball season is officially over for us. She did awesome! She made it all season without using the tee once. Granted, I am the pitcher, which is an advantage for her, but still she always got her hits. Fielding is a little boring at this age. It takes so long for kids to hit the ball that there is a lot of waiting, not to mention it is always hot. We baked on that field. She loved playing first base, and actually got some outs there. She would stare down the opponent after she tagged the base, almost daring them to come any closer. Funny! She has the same bobble-head look with a helmet on that Carson has. It almost looks like their heads might just topple off when they are running the bases. It makes me laugh so hard. I probably looked like that as a kid.
I truly think Maisy has some real potential to be a good athlete. We need to find the right sport though. She has done well at all of them, but soccer seems to be where her heart is right now. She knows she is good at that. She is super aggressive and that is the only sport where she can get in there and get physical. I guess that is one benefit to keeping up with a big mean brother. I won't be coaching soccer, so you can guarantee there will be some good clips this fall.
