Carson just started basketball last week. It was a great first game. He is playing with 3rd graders, which seems to be a good fit. Jeremy is all for him being challenged versus ever feeling like he is actually good. I see the benefits in what he is trying to do, but there is such a short time in your life to feel good at something, that I wish that for Carson too. He is holding his own out there, so maybe he will get a challenge and end up feeling like the best player on the team. If you asked him, I am sure he would say he's the star of the team. I guess that is a good sign.
Below is a clip of Carson playing some killer defense. He has that part of the game down. He even got a little physical trying to keep track of his man. He scored a basket for the team too. I am anxious to see the improvements over the next few weeks. My favorite part is at the very beginning of the game. The lights go off and the players are all announced and run into the dark gym at center court with music blaring. It seems very NBA. It brought tears to my eyes hearing his name called like that. The first of many, I hope.
